I'm not using it right CB> now, but I have looked at it several times. It just doesn't CB> seem to quite fit my tastes (doesn't support 28, 30, 33 rows, CB> doesn't auto open capture file, doesn't allow multiple DL CB> paths, etc.). I'm thinking about evaluating it again though. Carey, {COMMO} will do all three items that you are looking for! 28, 30, 33, or any number of rows that your video board supports is possible .. {COMMO} supports up to two different video modes in one session, so you can toggle between 25 rows and 30 rows for example. I'm not sure when you want to auto-open a capture file, but with {COMMO}'s macro language, you have a very flexible tool to open capture files in just about any way imaginable. You can open a different one for each system you call, or one for each date, or one big one (always the same name). This can be completely automatic. There is a macro in the CS-MAC series that supports "multiple download paths". What that macro does is download to a so-called hold_dr (I hold in a RAMdisk, but that isn't necessary) and after loss of carrier, the files are strewn to different directories depending on their extension .... .ZNS, and .SOU files are moved into %znpak .QWK, .OLX, and %_dwt? files are moved into %qwkdr .GIF, .RLE, .BMP, .TIF, .PCX, and .JPG files into %picdr .ZIP, .LZH, .ARC, .EXE, .DWC, and .ZOO files into %dldir, Other files remain in %hold_dr. I encourage you to give {COMMO} a look-over again, and spend a little time with the macro language. There are many good macros that you can simply cut and paste into your COMMO.MAC ... free for the time it takes to find them. 04/14/95 12:24 ChuckS --- JABBER v1.31 #021 {COMMO} + DESQview + '486 = Happy Camper --------------- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LAST Message In Thread <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 153 COMMO Ref: C4J00000 Date: 04/12/95 From: DOUG WHITE Time: 08:26pm \/To: DAVID KLINDT (Read 6 times) Subj: New D/L looks great Hello David! If ompression is on and its a 14400 then the computer to modem speed should be 38400 to allow compressable data to be compressed!
