I think thats an idea that could help save Fido or at least this echo. Since most echos prohibit uued files, this echo gets an advantage. A lot of people have gone to the internet because there are generally no restrictions on sending files. And sending musical "snippets" of a few K in size is hardly a drop in the bucket for Fido. _ 3 Dave Gostl 15 1429 80% 1:396/44 http://www.sstar.com/d/ ... System sounds are at normal volume through the sound card, so both the volume settings and the sound card itself are working. MIDI seems to be the only problem. Ok the guide lines are simple. 1,Three abusive messages and your out. (1 month for the first set, second set you dont come back) 2, Try and restrict messages to Midi progs, configs, music. (I am not likely to get upset with other music being brought into it unless someone complains) 3, If you wish to make a moderation message to another user netmail it to me. I will then decide if the moderator needs to post such a message. 4, SMALL UUencoded samples of midi can be sent to the echo on the following conditions: A, The subject line MUST have: UUencode This is so that anyone looking through the list of messages can recognise hat it is straight away. B, It must not be more than 1 message in length (about 5 screens full) This situation will be reviewed if it gets abused or a system complains. Notes: I am not a "Jack boot" moderator. I like to see easy going discussion (especially with a bit of humour thrown in) so I am not quick to step on things UNLESS someone complains. So if you have a problem feel free to tell me in netmail and I will respond to you and to the other person if it is needed. _ _ | \ _ _ _ _ | |__ | | | || | ' \| / / Duncan Reid Dunk@Clear.Net.NZ |_,/ \_,_|_||_|_\_\ Moderator NZ_HUMOUR & MIDI-NET --- GEcho 1.00 * Origin: Dunk's Point Of No Return. The reason for the need for this information is because I'm building an interface which will need to behave as if either of the mouse buttons have been pressed. Much obliged for any help Steve. ...
