I'm looking for a large filebase of them like that, that is considered the most "complete" by MIDI mongers. HD Space is not a problem. As far as which I want, I want all of them. :) But no, I don't expect you to spend your days emailing them to me (unless you have a T1 internet account). :) Ugh, any suggestions? If I did find an automatic mailer or something to email them, I could only handle about 50 meg at a time (per week). FTP would let me do it at my leisure. I don't do WWW. And of course, I couldn't FREQ that much long distance. Is there any site out there that you like? Some sort of "ftp.midi.com" or something? :) Sorry if I'm not making much sense today. I have a Casio CTK530 synth sitting here which I wish to exchange for a MIDI mother keyboard. Or, I would consider a straight sale. Usual sort of thing - auto-chords, drum patterns, lots of voices, full size 5 octave keys, etc. Complete with manual and original packing (if I can find it in my loft). Best exchange offered (or cash, if you must) gets the deal. If your on the BB> net then you could e-mail me at barry.birchall.nwnet.co.uk I ftp'ed to ftp.midi.net or com or something, and it let me in, but didn't accept anonymous. It said it was a MIDI centred BBS. That's kind of what I'm looking for, some place that MIDI makers all like to put their files, a large collection. MODS and the like, too. I've been into the MOD (and MOD lookalikes) scene for about 7 years, but just now getting into MIDI now that I have HD space for sample recordings. My old SB 16 ASP only uses FM synthesis. If I can't find anything like that right away, the MIDI types I'm most interested in are "real songs", people who've copied a song from sheet music or an album into a MIDI, rather than track their own compositions. I like originals too, but... As you can see, I'm not a composer, just a listener. :) --- {Mnemonic Oubliette} --- * Origin: +1 918 455 5806 BBS/FAX, 64000bps, Broken Arrow, OK, 0 (1:170/853) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 151 MIDI-NET Ref: E5B00000 Date: 05/05/97 From: MITCH LANDRY Time: 07:39am \/To: BARRY BIRCHALL (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: MIDI FILE -=> Quoting Barry Birchall to Fane <=- BB> Hi there, I know of one bloke who will send you all his midi files on BB> CD for 45 quid ( around 13000 file ( good stuff and all)) BB> I don't have any site's on the net i rearly like but as I play guitar i BB> tend to visit the OLGA sites for the odd lyric's and tabs.
