A collage Prof!!!! Wish you were out here I might spend a bit and come to class. Now there's a thought. (Asuming that your teaching music arranging/theory.) I hope that your Web site will be also FTP. I've gotten good at striping files in UNIX. Thought one problem I've noticed on the "com" locations is that they are VvvvAAaarry slow in updating their drivers/files and even news releases??? Thanks much for the reply to Barry, he seems to be a collector of midi files as I have become. My interest being from 1890 thru 1940 mostly. GaryW0001 on AOL dose vary nice BigBand sequences and it appears likes john Williams. Glad you chugging along. I'm looking for a large filebase of them like that, that is considered the most "complete" by MIDI mongers. HD Space is not a problem. As far as which I want, I want all of them. :) But no, I don't expect you to spend your days emailing them to me (unless you have a T1 internet account). :) Ugh, any suggestions? If I did find an automatic mailer or something to email them, I could only handle about 50 meg at a time (per week). FTP would let me do it at my leisure. I don't do WWW. And of course, I couldn't FREQ that much long distance. Is there any site out there that you like? Some sort of "ftp.midi.com" or something? :) Sorry if I'm not making much sense today.
