This episode is pretty much a direct continuation of last week's episode, A Time to Stand. The captured Jem'Haddar ship is chased into a nebula by an enemy ship, and both crash on a planet inside the nebula. The episode presents the story of how the two crews fight it out. The resident Vorta on the bad guy's ship has been injured, and he is much more worried about himself than about his toops -- particularly since he is virtually out of the White drug the Jem'Haddar soldiers need. We also see some scenes back as Deep Space Nine, but there candidly isn't much story development on that front in this episode. The whole war story arc is bound to be a series of explorations of the ethics of war, and that is certainly the point of this episode. We see a commander willing to sacrifice his troops. We see Sisko struggle with whether to engage in a blatant ambush of a Jem'Haddar commander he respects. I guess it's a fine story, but Space: Above and Beyond did "space war" better. Space war is *not* what Star Trek is all about. My vote is that in a couple of more episodes, the Organians return. :-) Next week, Alexander returns. --- GEcho 1.00 * Origin: <<<<<<>>>>>> (1:205/1701.6) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 108 STAR TREK Ref: EED00003 Date: 10/07/97 From: LUKE FISCHER Time: 09:44pm \/To: MATT WEESE (Read 0 times) Subj: Why "Locutus" named? -=> Quoting Matt Weese to Luke Fischer <=- SPOILER AHEAD!!
