I have a friend who's got a set of Taurus Pedals, and he might be willing to get rd of them. However, Fatar now makes a set of bass pedals that are midi controllers, and with a good synth, you might really find some hot sounds to accent your bass. Proteus' Vintage Keys has some incredible synth voices in it, as well as the standard keyboards... I do a lot of my 'surfing' using LYNX though. And I use Atari's to do it. I have STIK/CAB setup on the Falcon but I dont use it that often at the monment. You can use STIK/CAB on a monochrome monitor on an ST also. The graphics can be a bit weird but in the case of sites with Image Maps, at least you can access them. --- GEcho 1.00 * Origin: Quarter Note 303-939-9923 Music/MIDI/PowerBBS (1:104/121) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 151 MIDI-NET Ref: DBF00004 Date: 07/10/96 From: EARL KURBURSKI Time: 04:48pm \/To: DOUG MOORE (Read 3 times) Subj: Re: Lowrey Organ Co -=> Quoting Doug Moore to Earl Kurburski <=- DM> On (06 Jul 96) EARL KURBURSKI wrote to DOUG MOORE... Getting to talk with the Chief Engineer I get to finally tell you what would be my dream organ. A tone wheel generated system with full set of drawbars on different sets of sine waves! Remember the old Farfisa Pro. Had a set of on/of switchs based on the overtone series for flutes, reeds, and percussion. The same idea only real drawbars with more banks? No doubt impossible and no doubt to expensive if it was possible but wow what an organ that would be. Another possibility would be two synths, samplers built into a cabinet so that all the controls where not derectly on the keyboard. This would allow the keyboards to be staked like an organ, close enough to be able to bridge between the two of them like you can do on a organ. Dream, dream, dream! Earl ... I downloaded Impulse taht evening, but in my opinion : FT2 is much more userfriendly, has is superb Build-in sampler and nice inst. editor. I have an AWE32 and FT2 plays much cleaner than IT in SB16 mode. It's a pitty that all those trackers only give support for GUS. AWE32 are good cards. GUS is great too, but why don't they have AWE32 support ? Do you know any good trackers which have AWE32 support ?
