Well, I cannot take all the credit for this, as Cycling Today Magazine was featuring it. It is a really good magazine, and it covers mountain bikes, and touring bikes, plus, it has alot of tour routes and MTB trail areas and they rate them as well. You might take a look at it one day if you have'nt already. Anyways, take care!!!! I shelled out the extra dough for the Shimano Rapid Fire shifters, and the difference is quite noticable. I think that they are as you mentioned, more responsive. Other than that, my bike is still pretty much stock. I plan on upgrading the parts this coming summer when I get some more cash saved up. I'm not the greatest rider in the world, and I'm learning all the time (the hard way), but one thing is for sure, chicks dig the paint job on the Giant. But thatsonly a little side bonus. I chose this bike because it had a good frame, game with reasonable parts, and best of all it was on sale. So where are you calling from? I'm up here in Edmonton, land of the deep snow, and good winter biking. --- * Origin: The Generica BBS - 403-967-2361 - Home of GenericaNet (1:342/1022) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 150 BIKE NET Ref: E1400015 Date: 01/02/97 From: JAMES KIRKLAND Time: 03:11pm \/To: WILLIAM BOWEN (Read 4 times) Subj: Re: Merry christmas KP> Christmas was cold here, for Dallas. I probably shouldn't mention it, but the low today was 54 and the high 71. It is supposed to be warmer tomorrow with a high in the low 80s. The only problem had been fog. Tomorrow that is supposed to be gone, but the wind has picked up to the 15-25 mph range. The fog was partly caused by dead calm. === ==== = _@ Ken Peck + _ \<._ ========= (_)/ (_) Kenneth_Peck@clr.com ...
