HAILEY (Read 0 times) Subj: Trek Writers JPH> I would like to see Nimoy produce a Trek series. But Harve JPH> Bennett might not be the best choice. His credits include "The Mod JPH> Squad", "The Six Million Dollar Man" and "Timecop". have you *seen* JPH> these? There's a reason they aren't still running... Timecop was pretty ordinary. The Six Million Dollar Man was a popular series that ran several years, lead to one spin-off series, and multiple made-for-tv movies. No, it wasn't really very good science fiction, but it was a commercial success, which is what the job of the producers is. The Mod Squad was a break-through series that was also very popular. Yes, it looks dated today, but it was an important series in the development of television. Everybody involved in its production should take pride. Harve Bennett was involved in some good Star Trek projects. He then came up with a bad idea, and left when it was rejected -- an idea that has since been adopted for a line of books about the Star Trek universe. :-) --- GEcho 1.00 * Origin: <<<<<<>>>>>> (1:205/1701.6) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 108 STAR TREK Ref: EDR00020 Date: 09/17/97 From: ELTON VAN MAANEN Time: 02:34pm \/To: MARK LEITH (Read 0 times) Subj: long time What ya been up to? got any documents from school at L.C.S that you can give me.
