Beauty and the Beast $45, Little Mermaid $150, Peter Pan $100, 101 Dalmatians $75, Jungle Book $100. To me, it seems like they are asking too much for these tapes, just like the tickle Me Elmo dolls, some were asking between $100 and $1000 for the dolls!!!! But since they are protected, no one else -> has that choice -- no one else can release them. This is not my understanding...a friend of ours, a Disney "expert" told me that with Steamboat Willie, Disney had to put out a book with him in it and copyright the character in that book in order to copyright the character of S.W. Why would movies be so easy if a character is so difficult to copyright? --- ViaMAIL!/WC4 v1.20a * Origin: Praise OutReach BBS ~ Salt Lake City, Utah (1:311/57) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 149 DISNEY Ref: DGM00001 Date: 12/16/96 From: AMY BALLANTYNE Time: 09:17am \/To: JOHN GIANNINI (Read 0 times) Subj: Movies -> There are a few others. Sanrio has some pretty sappy stuff. There's Hello Kitty, Kerokerokeroppi, Piyo Piyo and many more that I haven't seen. They're all as happy as Hello Kitty. I just like it because it's not like anything else from Japan. Most anime is the same in the respect that you can definetly tell the difference between anime and everything else. Sanrio stuff is unlike any other anime I've seen. Plus, happy makes me happy. * SPITFIRE v3.51 --- Alexi/Mail 2.02b (#10000) * Origin: Quick Bits BBS London, Ont. CANADA 519-641-0675 (1:2401/412)
