By the end of the KB>-> video there was a hint that there might be a fourth one but I believe KB>-> three is enough to satisfy me for now. KB>-> KB>-> Comments anyone? KB>I thought it was lame, and I'm one of the few people that actually LIKED KB>the second installment of Aladdin. This latest one has several serious KB>falws that take away any chance of being entertained. First of all, it KB>doesn't have a good, solid villian like the previous two. Jafar working, KB>plotting and scheming against Aladdin make for the excitement in the KB>first two Aladdin movies. Now that he's gone we are left villianless. KB>Aladdin's father kind-of comes in as a villian, but is character can't KB>decide whether to be a good guy or a bad guy so he ends up not being KB>either. The story just isn't there to justify this one. (snip) Sorry you didn't feel it lived up to your expectations. The Genie wasn't suppose to be central in this third installment. This was about Aladdin getting married, NOT THE GENIE! And what rules says that there's suppose to be ONE villian for every picture? Not every villian has to be out and out evil just for the purpose of making the good guy seem righteous. As for Genie's arm bands, it's very clear to me that he did grant Al's wishes but came back because he missed him. He wears them as a fashion statement but is still as independent as ever. Robin came back after the company apologized for using him to sell the first movie and they kissed and made up. Quite frankly I thought he was being very petty about it all. And now he feels roles like JACK are beneath him. I believe you should take this up with Disney or Robin Williams. But don't expect either of them to oblige your concerns. As much I want to believe the corporation is doing this out of a labor of love I also realize that unfortunately that they are a business. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ --- OLX 2.2 TD "Hello," lied the politician. * Origin: The GIFfer BBS, 75+gig, (813)969-2761 (1:377/50) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 149 DISNEY Ref: DDG00004 Date: 09/11/96 From: KIT BALLANTYNE Time: 04:55am \/To: LANDON HUMPHREY (Read 3 times) Subj: I am GOING!! -> As of this late fall or winter, I and the rest of my family are going -> to Disney Land. I would like to know some information before we get -> The first thing is how much is it going to cost for my family? My fa -> me, mother and father, and sis with her kid. Any new changes? Rides? -> time we went my dad got sick on the tea cups, and he never let us -> forget it! I bet most of you got storys like that from your -> vacations there. Late fall and winter are excellent times to visit Disneyland because the crowds are much smaller. That's the time I like to go, but I won't be making it there anytime soon because we have no money and my wife is on dialysis and can't be away from kidney machines that long. If you stick to the middle of the week you'll find that the crowds are even smaller than on the weekend. This is really the way to see a LOT of Disneyland on very little time (and money) because you're not waiting in long lines for everything. Admission is $32, if it hasn't gone up since the last time I was there (In June 1996), but if you are going to be there for three days or longer you can buy the cheapest annual pass and actually save money. In 1995 we got the cheapest annual pass for $99 each adult and actually visited the park eight days in a row - so that saved us a lot of money right up front. I later went back to the park for a few more days and it was like getting free admission. I don't know how young the child in your group is or what the child rate is. New changes depends on when you were last there. The newest things in the park that I know of are the Hunchback Festival of Fools show (I hear they interact with the audience and that this is the best show ever!) and the Indianna Jones - Temple of the Forbidden Eye (a very realistic, exciting and frightenning ride taking you throught action scenes from the movie). If you haven't been there in 5 years or so then a LOT of it will be new. Mickey's Toontown is basically a whole new land that is just wonderful. They have a short roller coaster, Mickey's House, Minnie's House, Chip & Dale's Treehouse, Goofy's House, Donald Duck's Boathouse and Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin (a wild ride, terribly exciting but too hard to explain - well worth it!). If you tell us how long it's been since you've been there, we can tell you everything that's new. --- ViaMAIL!/WC5 v1.00h * Origin: Praise OutReach BBS ~ Salt Lake City, Utah (1:311/57) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 149 DISNEY Ref: DDG00005 Date: 09/11/96 From: AMY BALLANTYNE Time: 10:04am \/To: CHRIS WARREN (Read 3 times) Subj: Aladdin and the King of T -> > I can't remember who did the voice, it was someone famous, it's -> gonna > drive me nuts now. -> -> I am sure this will be answered at least a dozen times by the time -> you get this, but the same actor that played Sallah in the Indiana -> Jones movies (and hosts Archaeology on TLC) did the voice of Kasim. -> I can't for the life of me remember his name though.
