If you are interested in Disney films of all kinds, do yourself a huge favor, and get THE DISNEY FILMS by Leonard Maltin, 3rd ed. It will become one of your most treasured books ever, and you can buy it at any bookstore. Maltin devotes 2-3 pages of fascinating info on *every* disney movie. Of course, each movie includes plot, stars, etc, but he also talks about things like how the movie did when it came out, how critics did or didn't like it, how Walt felt about it, etc. This is a MUST HAVE reference book - it is softcover, 8 1/2 x 11, and runs $19.95 I believe. It also lists every disney cartoon, animated short, experimental film, etc. It's T.H.E book if your interest is in Disney movies, you'll refer to it over and over for many years. --- GoldED 2.50 * Origin: The Moonshadow :*: 916.343.0534 :*: Chico, CA :*: (1:119/50) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 149 DISNEY Ref: DBH00002 Date: 07/12/96 From: JOHN GIANNINI Time: 08:51am \/To: TERRY A. Both of these movies have been released on video. It's just that they are on moritorium right now. Both were released between '86 and '90. Disney hasn't re-released either one for awhile. I can obtain a "previously viewed" original copy of Follow Me Boys if you'd like. The store that has it would probably want $40 or $50 for it; they're pretty savvy when it comes to knowing which Disney titles are on moritorium or not. I'd have to check around for Savage Sam. It was only out for a small window of time, and released only once. If you'd me to check it out, leave me a message and I'll do my best. --- GoldED 2.50 * Origin: The Moonshadow :*: 916.343.0534 :*: Chico, CA :*: (1:119/50) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 149 DISNEY Ref: DBH00003 Date: 07/12/96 From: JOHN GIANNINI Time: 09:06am \/To: TIM CHILDREE (Read 1 times) Subj: How To Have A New Life In Christ On 16 Jun 96, Tim Childree wrote to All: TC> THIS IS WHAT THE BIBLE TELLS US: This is what the Disney echo policy statement tells us, Tim. This echo is for the discussion of Disney related topics only! Oh, I know. You could argue that ultimately, God created "Disney". He created Walt. He created the idea in men's mind of Dinseyland. So by inference, you might argue that since God is behind all things, Disney included, that means religious messages are a legal thread here, even if the rules say "Disney only". But it doesn't work that way. If it did, then you could legitimate post your travelling preacherman messages in *every* Fido echo, legitimately! What a concept, eh? For the record.
