WB> First the doorbell rang, then the baby cried, the dog barked, WB> the cat yowled, and you could hear the garbage disposal and WB> the toilet flushing. and then came this frazzled voice WB> saying, "As you can tell, we are too busy to answer the phone WB> right now..." Oh, I love those creative messages. I have one with some bees flying around, and I say that I'm sorry I couldn't "bee" here for your call. Ok, I realize that it's pretty sick, but what the hey! I guess my humor is being affected by bill J. * * * * * * * * | BILL K. * | BILLSCOT * | @DIAC.COM * * * * * * * * * --- FLAME v1.1 * Origin: The King's Market BBS (1:104/115) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 143 DISABLED Ref: F5I00016 Date: 05/13/98 From: BILL KOPPELMANN Time: 10:57pm \/To: WENDY BUCHANAN (Read 0 times) Subj: did you see this? Hi wendy, My mail over here has been real crazy again, and I'm wondering if you saw my reply from last time. Just in case, I'll let you see it again. BK> ask me next time if I enjoyed it. It'll be the first time BK> that I'll be using access-a-cab, so you might ask me how that BK> went as well. WB> OK, so how was the steak at Applebee's? I've eaten at one of WB> those, and loved the food there. Tom and his sister loved it WB> too. BK> I had a great time and the steak was absolutely yummy. Using BK> the cab program was also great. the drivers were nice and I BK> was real happy to be able to get out on less money than it BK> might have cost otherwise WB> And how'd the access-a-cab ride go? I've never ridden on WB> anything like that. Would if they had it here, but they WB> don't. Finally someone bought out the taxi company and it is WB> back in business, so we at least have that, but nothing else WB> in the way of public transportation, unless one is naughty and WB> winds up with a free ride to the police dept. It was a very nice ride, and the drivers were both very cordial. I take a regular access-a-ride van tomorrow, and go to see my new therapist. ask me next time how that went. WB> I hope you had a very good time with your friend Jack, and WB> enjoyed your lunch and your ride both. BK> Not only did we have a nice time, but yesterday, he treated me BK> to another dinner at another restaurant. I guess it pays to BK> know the right people, eh?
