I became disabled GW> from a genetic disease (that had not been diagnosed). I am housebound GW> a fair amount of the day... I am as well but I try to keep busy with the computer and housework. GW> But I have the most wonderful dog in the world & GW> I am right next to a beautiful park that has trees, wild flowers, GW> rolling land - but paths flat enough for me to travel, their are GW> ponds, lots of birds and some rabbits. I start out my walk going GW> trough tall trees on each side. It is there that I tend to do my GW> praying. The return trip is on a path that has flat lawn on one side GW> with the sand of the sea shore on the other - with Mountains across the GW> water. I walk in that park for an hour or two most days. I will be GW> getting a walker with four wheels, bicycle brakes, a seat and a backet GW> for carrying groceries home in. This should slow down the GW> deteriouration of my of my joints, result in less pain and allow me to GW> walk faster. It sounds lovely! I go to a park in Williamsburge quite often and I just finished a 7-8 mile hike through the park to see some of the nicer points. I'm still sore and I'm limping a little but I did it and I'm proud of myself. :) I'll learn to pace myself eventually and soon, I'll be a match for my friend Samantha. Live Life to the Fullest!!
