(Read 5 times) Subj: Your info Hello Darrell, I'd like to cast my vote in support of you providing the information that NASCAR provides through their i-net site. I have access to it via the i-net, but I much prefer having it in the format that I can catalog easily and refer to in my fido mail packets. What software are you using to properly translate from html to text? I keep getting staggered lines, etc with the combos I have at hand (I was going to volunteer to do this at one point). I wasn't willing to take the time to re-orient all the information manually. A real test would have been a McLaren or Bennetton, cars that are near the top. Then, if he continued to show well his ability could be judged. With the Footwork, he may drive his arse off and still run misrebly. I'll use the Indy cars and Lynn St. James. She has driven with used Dick Simon equipment for each of her turns at the Brickyard. Simon has fielded more cars and drivers at Indy than any other owner in recent history and probably all time. If you rank the St. James races and her results, she will most likely be above the average finish for all the rest of the "MEN" that Simon has provided rides.(by that I mean not better than all the men, just better than the average finish of the men) > > in all racing.... its the driver who has a car running at the end of a race > that determines who wins....the so-called "best" drivers arent crap if they > blow an engine in the 1st lap. > or the last lap! A recent quote by Michael Waltrip on Speedvisions Inside WC Racing, had the same idea. He wanted at least to get rid of the front air dam especially on the restrictor tracks. He figured this would once again spread the good drivers from the average onees and thereby avoid those massive wrecks that seem to be cropping up at Daytona and Talladega.
