Sterling no more made a move to the inside than I did. You can clearly see Irvan's car go up the track. Marlin's front bumper was even with the passenger side window on Earnhardt's car. You can clearly see Irvan's car move up the track, getting farther and farther away from the apron. If Sterling had "tried to get back in line", he'd have hit Earnhardt first. Looks like Swervin Irvan is back... JD> maybe a bad move but none the less "racin" I saw no bone head moves on JD> anybodies part, if anyone is to JD> blame it should be NASCAR for setting up a five lap shoot out. You sure you were at that race? The "five lap shootout" happened _after_ the wreck. What were they supposed to do? Race in the dark? We all complain loudly and often but we still buy all the overpriced crap that the NASCAR craze puts out there. We go along but we never stand up for ourselves. Hell, Bruton Smith could care less about all our bitching but we still will go gladly to be ripped off at his NASCAR tracks. Why dont the fools that run NASCAR just sell the whole damn thing to him so he can run it out of business in the next 5-10 years. IE: CART. Here is a list of things I would like NASCAR to consider. This is strictly a wish list type scenario but we as fans do have ultimate control. Its hard to exercise that control but when the money isnt so easy for NASCAR they will start to listen to us again. So feel free to add on, modify, change, 1. NASCAR WC run 38 race minimum schedule. 2. At least 25% of schedule must be short track (3/4 mile or less) 3. Any rain delay over 3 hours postpones it until the following clear day. 4. NASCAR develop thier own television "network" to broadcast races. 5. Allow the auto companies to race the version approved at the beginning of the season. No more changes the rules every race. 6. Actively court Mopor to return to WC. 7. Have some basic rules about how many tracks one company can own. You couldnt own 6 baseball teams. Thats what Bruton Smith and Bill France ownership is amounting to. Plus more I will think of later. NASCAR is starting to remind me of CART in 1985 or so and I would hate to loose interest in NASCAR and I dont think I ever will. What brought this all on is all the bitching fans seem to do. IT will only change when we stop the cash flow and take control.
