The '96 is even more so. The only difference between the Sable and the Taurus is nameplate and plushness. The Sable is the High-end of the FoMoCo line. Plus, it makes more sense to develope the Taurus/Sable into racing sheet metal than the Lincoln. As you stated, "more of us common folk" can relate to the Taurus/Sable. On a marketing standpoint, Ford has to do something, more "common folk" buy Monty Carlos than T-birds. There is no comparison between the two. A Monty is not as expensive as a T-bird, in fact it is more in the Taurus/Sable price range. Now as far as MOPAR is concerned, I would love to see Chrysler back in Winston Cup. But, NASCAR has to change its attitude first. It is not just Gary Nelson that is making NASCAR an IROC Type series, but Bill France, too. I like DW, but I think he's "stayed too long at the dance". Harry Gant, (my all-time favorite), retired and so did "The King". We all have to make room for the "new kid" sooner or later. This message from the FUBAR Racing Team. ... I've been lurking about mostly. Nothing really sparked my interest enough to comment lately. Had to put the "racin'" on hold for a while. I got busted-up at work last July and it is pretty hard to build a racecar when your on disability. If I get a decent enough settlement, I'm hoping to buy a "Legends" Car. They look like affordable racin' fun. My son and I still race R/C Cars in the winter though. Adrian finished last season as "TOP DOG" in his class. I finished 4th. I would have done better, had I been healthy for the entire season. Mathematically I could have beat Adrian in the points. He's moving to the Supertruck Class next season. I told him he was moving because he is afraid to be beat by the "old man". He denies the notion of course. BT>Yeah, the "My driver" v. "Your Driver," and the IRL V. BT> I tend to agree with you on all of the above points. As far NASCAR is concerned, I wish they'd leave well enough alone. I'm as big a Ford fan as they come, but if Ford can't develope sheetmetal fast enough to beat the Bowtie, then they deserve to lose. Chevy did it's homework well before it brought back the MC. My hat is off to them. Knowing this, it does my heart good to see the Fords when they do. BT>Anyway, good see you. Thanks Bob. This message from the FUBAR Racing Team. ...
