My question is: Are there wet races in the Indy series? What happens, if it beginns to rain during the race? These questions may seem silly to you, but around here Indy is only broadcasted on a cable channel, which I can't recieve. So I don't know much about this series. He BT> was racing to get his lap back. ... BT> Plus, NASCAR never called me to get an "informed" judgment so my opinions are BT> moot. It would have been interesting to have been listening in on Kyle's radio. Supposedly, Kyle was pretty upset that Ted had been placed in front of him on the restart. Maybe, NASCAR had some idea about Kyle's state of mind just before the wreck and, therefore, decided on the penalty? I'll bet if you send Bill Jr. your phone number and promise to be home during the race, he just might give you a call next time ... NOT :-) BT> Oh well, as I stated, we can agree to disagree. No harm in that. C'est la vie. BT> You know, this brings up a point ... If you qualify a WC car but wreck it BT> during "Happy Hour," you can start a backup car at the rear of the field. I have absolutely no idea??? Perhaps some other lurker here can provide some insight. This one would be a good question for one of TNN's "give us a call during the broadcast" shows. GO> BTW: What'd you think about the race at Dover? BT> The race was a bit less than enthralling, IMHO. There have been too many BT> races this year with the same 4-5 drivers in the top five finishing posi- BT> tions, and with a handful of cars finishing on the lead lap. Hell, I BT> thing, percentage-wise, F1 has more different winners this year than does BT> Winston Cup! *THAT* should tell you how exciting I view the racing as BT> being in NASCAR! I had to try really hard not to fall asleep in the middle of the race. Wonder if NASCAR would ever consider throwing a couple of competition yellows in the middle of long races like Dover, just to keep the competition a little closer. I kind of like them in the truck races. I'm sure the teams in the front of the pack wouldn't appreciate it but it ought to provide a little more exciting show.?. I heard on the tele. this weekend that Dale Jarrett is trying to put together sponsorship for both a Busch and a Truck team. He is apparently going to field the teams with his son and brother (Glen) as drivers. Did Glen have anything to say about the subject during the interview? BT> I thought Felix's turning the Coors #42 into a Earnhardt-clone was a stroke BT> of promotional genius. I have seen nothing to change my mind. Once again, we agree. I actually didn't mind listening to Eli on the radio, but he needs to adjust his style a little for the television viewing audience. A little less talk would be appreciated. BT> I'm just glad the rumor about TNN axing Buddy Baker after he allegedly got a BT> DUI leaving the track at Charlotte proved unfounded. I still miss him a lot :-( BT> What do you think about the new rumor involving Ford, Cougar and the Mark BT> VIII? Ouch! It looks like it'll be really difficult to keep the "Rice BT> Burners" out of major league racing IF it comes about!
