Well, the installation archive has some problems on my OS/2 system. When it tries to extract the files, it tells me each one exists already (but its an empty directory). Also, the file sizes/dates for the non-existant files are really random, and even sometimes negative. I tried extraction on both FAT and HPFS and I get the same results. I'll have try it later when I boot to DOS to see if I get the same problem. Use "K" modifier instead. 2) The "-u2" option does not work properly with the split files in a multiple volume archive. This affects the "ac" command since that is an abbreviation for "u -u2 -jb". You should use the "u" command to add chapters to a multiple volume chapter archive. Regards, Robert Jung --- msged 2.07 * Origin: ARJ Support Node. The latest ALPHA of JAR shows comparable or better compression than RAR and competing archivers. Update operations are fast with JAR. JAR is aimed to compete with those archivers using solid archive technology. It is not in the same speed class as PKZIP or ARJ or LHA. The main goals of JAR are leading edge compression, practical functionality, reliability, and multi-platform usability. Regards, Robert --- msged 2.07 * Origin: ARJ Support Node. This one did the trick for me. I thank you very much. What is strange is that according to the docs, there should be no blank lines in the cfg file but we both have blank lines in a couple of places and the program works fine.
