BTW: At night the reception of New York Aero is no big problem here. (a warranting-statement) Happy monitoring! On the other hand, a ham operator in Louisiana sounded as if he was right in my back yard. There was lots of traffic from the midwest but hardly any from the storm area. I kept a pretty close watch on 14325 kHz but didn't hear any storm related activity. The Deutsche Welle German language transmission there was also about equal strength. So, I had a mixing of signals from both. What surprised me yesterday was a signal from a BBC relay site on 12095 khz which amazing as far as clarity goes. This was around mid-day my time and I believe it was their Africa service in English. For the last three or four years, I've been receiving form letters for QSLs from RA. Thanks for the tip on RSI. Sometimes, the Sines relay is very good. At other times, Sines doesn't have the punch and sounds like it is way off in the distance. That's propagation for you.
