Couldn't say this is the proper echo to discuss Stargate books and I hope you aren't confusing it with a Star Wars novel some kind since they aren't. Anyway, there are 2 sequel novels published by Roc Books, subsidiary of Penguin Books called Stargate: Rebellion and Stargate: Retaliation both by Bill McKay. If you didn't know, they were based on the movie Stargate with Kurt Russell and James Spader which was written and produced by the same guys that brought Independence Day to the big screen. There not a bad read, though a bit short for my taste. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU! Carey Teranishi --- * Origin: R.E.D.A.L.R.T. You've probably seen a lot of these paintings, like Darth Vader duelling a guy in a gas mask, but I had no idea where they fit in until I read the explanations. Here's some examples of stuff I didn't realize before: You probably knew that Luke was originally named "Luke Starkiller", but you probably didn't know that the Rebel ship at the beginning of ANH was originally captained by his brother, Deak Starkiller, who was there looking for HIM and not Obi-Wan. Seems they were the sons of a great "galactic holy man" called "the Starkiller" and Vader was still trying to kill all of the Starkiller's children. Instead of the plans for the Death Star, Luke was trying to get an object of power that his Uncle Owen had in safekeeping to the Starkiller, who was hiding on Organa Major. But they found the planet destroyed by the Death Star, so instead they went to Alderaan (the Imperial Capital!) to rescue Deak (not Leia!) Originally, Alderaan was a mushroom-shaped city floating in the clouds. Lucas cut it from the first movie and made the rescue happen on the Death Star instead, but it turned up again in ESB as Cloud City. Check this site out - its really cool! (Access is SLOW, though.)
