I do not have any internet access...(out of work for awhile, no extra cash, money extremely tight, can't afford those $15-20 monthly access fees local providers charge...). Also, the fact that there are other Hutts in the galaxy, as said in several other books (like _Tales From the Mos Eisley Cantina_, in the Greedo story,) seems to make it clear (to me) that Hutts are a race, and not a title. -Chris --- * UniQWK v3.3a* The Solution for Multilingual Messages --- WILDMAIL!/WC v4.12 * Origin: ALTERED ILLUSIONS Dayton, NJ 908-329-3216 (1:107/102.0) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 138 STAR WARS Ref: E4R00052 Date: 04/21/97 From: CHRIS DANIS Time: 02:40pm \/To: MATT SCHULZ (Read 0 times) Subj: Hutts Matt, MS>-> You're wrong. Matt Schulz - Moderator - Star Wars Echo - schulz@freenet.msp.mn.us True, but -- Some people get the "Best of Both Worlds" (geez not the star trek section of my brain again) and make it SW:ANH, for Star Wars: A New Hope. In this way, all of the other movies can corrspond to ANH by being called, oh like, SW:ROTJ or something. This is the scheme that i like best. And even so, R2's beeps would be setting up vibrations in him, which would then set up vibrations up in the X-Wing, and maybe be faintly heard in the cockpit as they caused vibrations in the air. They could be easily be amplified, and the translation would show up anyway. Also, direct hearing isn't really needed except, oh, say if some TIE Interceptor that has concussion missiles is on your tail. :). The novelization of the first Star Wars film was done by Alan Dean Foster... Heck, I remember reading the book around '77--the same time when I was reading ADF's novelization of the Trek animated series--and telling myself that the style was darn similar... It was later confirmed... The Trek novels "The Ashes of Eden" and "The Return" and "Avenger" were all written by the Reeves-Stevens, though Shatner's taking credit for them... Likewise for the Tek novels but I dunno who the author is, I don't read them... Similarly, the 1701-D Enterprise Blueprints I'm mighty sure are by Todd Guenther who is acknowledged in the credits for the interior design (i.e. the 42 DECKS depicted in the blueprints!)... Guenther did TONS of Treknical blueprints over the past decade... But Sternbach is Paramount's "official" tech expert so he hogs the credit for these Enterprise blueprints... --- OLXWin 1.00a Excelsior Class: Space Control Ship/Battleship/Heavy ruiser --- FE v1.46 i486 * Origin: - Mystical Aura -/- [201.894.8546] -/- Tenafly, NJ - (1:2604/302) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 138 STAR WARS Ref: E4S00000 Date: 04/17/97 From: JOE MASON Time: 08:31pm \/To: USER (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: Understanding R2 "Re: Understanding R2", declared User from the Vogon ship: U>p.s - no fan mail please.
