Why do all the Special Edition posters say STAR WARS in AL> big, bold letters and not A NEW HOPE? *Sigh* The comic adaption says "A New Hope." The novel says "A New Hope." And most importantly, in the opening scrolling part of the movie, it says "A New Hope" right after Star Wars. When Empire begins, it always says "Star Wars" and the same goes for Return of the Jedi. It also says "Star Wars." Why aren't those movies only referred to as "Star Wars?" But I doubt anyone will take these points into consideration. Nothing I write here ever seems to be taken into consideration. --- FRee iNTeRNeT !! * Origin: The Desert Sands BBS Cambridge ON Canada (1:221/203) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 138 STAR WARS Ref: E4N00022 Date: 04/18/97 From: TAYLOR CREED Time: 12:09pm \/To: JOE MASON (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: Yoda Stories JM> How did it sneak up on us? I've never heard of it before! What machine JM> is it for? If its PC, is there a shareware demo? It's for the PC...more specifically, Windows 95, and it's by Lucas Arts. It uses the same engine as "Indiana Jones Desktop Adventures" so if you've layed that game, you basically have played Yoda Stories. I don't know of any shareware demo...it's not meant to be a big game. It's just a small time-killer. Zipped up, the whole game will fit on three disks I think. --- FRee iNTeRNeT !! * Origin: The Desert Sands BBS Cambridge ON Canada (1:221/203) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 138 STAR WARS Ref: E4N00023 Date: 04/18/97 From: TAYLOR CREED Time: 12:09pm \/To: JAYSON MILSTEAD. Ted: "No...I meant 'Anyone like the Star Wars in general?' Books, movies, comics...everything." Bill: "Oh, okay. Yeah, I like it all." or Ted: "What did you guys think of Star Wars?" Bill: "Which one?" Ted: "You know...Star Wars! The first one." Bill: "Oh...you mean ANH, right?" Around here they all say Star Wars. I'm not talking about the OFFICAL name of the movie here, people. I'm not talking about what offical name in all the movie books is. I'm talking about what the movie should be referred to as. Could somebody PLEASE answer this: How come EVERY Star Wars movie starts out with "Star Wars" scrolling up, and then is followed by an episode title, and we refer to the second and third movies soley by their episode titles, but ot the first? YES, I know about how "A New Hope" didn't appear in the 1977 version. WHO CARES? "A New Hope" has appeared in the scrolling text ever ince 1979! Doesn't that account for ANYTHING? Is anyone listening? Does anyone care? No? Sure he gets shot and falls over, but I've seen Luke get shot, Leia, even R2 and 3PO and they come back. And in the next scene Greedo is in the streets of Mos Eisley! And then he is with Jabba! And in Jedi he comes back for revenge to get Han again in Jabba's palace! If you look you can see Greedo is back. Fett gets chomped though. I know they deal with the New Republic (which does not exist to most people), also Grand Admiral Thrawn, Mara Jade, the Sun Crusher, The Eye of Palpatine, Bakura, The Galaxy Gun, the Jabba-guys Death Star the Darksaber, etc. Trust me, I have read them since the day Heir to the Empire was released in hardback.
