I LOVE this game. It's just like the Legend of Zelda. TC>Very cool missions too. What JM> machine is it for? If its PC, is there a shareware demo? It's a PC game, selling for about $20.00 from Lucasarts. I think it might be pointless for a shareware demo as the actual game might not be much bigger than that anyway. --- Blue Wave/386 v2.20 * Origin: Juxtaposition BBS. Can't quite nail things down with 100% accuracy but you'll see what I mean in my pathetic little timeline outline, if I can put it up here... I think I gave up shortly after the Zahn trilogy, just too much to handle... Now as for people giving you a hard time... I really dunno! The Star Wars novels are pretty darn consistent with each other, at least there's a definite effort to place each new book into chronological order... It's a heck of a lot more consistent than the Trek novels! Oh, there's room for arguing but it's all pretty minor stuff (like, how much time between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back? Between The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi? These things can be approximated but it's not as if there's going to be a +/- 5 years error here!)... --- OLXWin 1.00a }Paramount Pictures = The Ferengi Alliance{ --- FE v1.46 i486 * Origin: - Mystical Aura -/- [201.894.8546] -/- Tenafly, NJ - (1:2604/302) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 138 STAR WARS Ref: E4K00051 Date: 04/15/97 From: JAMES DIXON Time: 07:49pm \/To: JOHN SNYDER (Read 0 times) Subj: Re: Star Wars: A New Hope JS>-> As for the dewbacks...they're much better in the special edition of A JS>-> New Hope than they were in the 1977 version. And I would say 98% of people call it Star Wars. And MOST of the stuff out now still says Star Wars. Perhaps you have not seen the t-shirts and hats? They all say Star Wars. Not to mention just saying "A New Hope" sounds corny. When you talk about The Empire Strikes Back you usually say "Empire" and Return of the Jedi is "Jedi" yet no one says, "Hey, that scene in Hope..." And most of the time people do not say, "Hey, that scene in A New Hope..." It is always, "Hey, that scene in Star Wars..." Also, every single poster at the movie theaters simply said, "Star Wars." The sign outside our theaters displaying which movies are playing said "Star Wars." I doubt if anyone, and if anyone did they are ridiculous, went up to by a ticket and said, "One for A New Hope please." Everyone just bought a ticket for Star Wars. Right now if someone says, "Have you seen Star Wars?" Everyone knows they are not talking about The Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi. Let us just say for instance that the next three movies are called, The Clone Wars, Fall of the Republic, and The Rise of Terror. Now, if someone asks, in 1999 if you have seen Star Wars, everyone will know they are talking about what movie that opened in 1977. If someone says, "Have you seen The Clone Wars?" Everyone will know they are speaking of the movie that opened that year. And after all those movies are out, everyone will then call the movies, as an abbreviation, something like: Clone, Fall, and Terror. Just like we call them Empire and Jedi now. No one calls it Hope. It is simply Star Wars.
