Well have I got the solution? Do I know what rhetorical means? hehehe :) only joking. If you are interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons over the net check out this site: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Horizon/449 You don't need to know anything about Dungeons & Dragons, all you need is net access. For now it will be free to register because we will only be play testing but when the game takes off we will be charging each new person that registers a few dollars a month to keep the game running. If you have any questions Email me at kruddler34@hotmail.com Hurry though places are filling up and if you don't get in soon there might be too many players in the first game so you'll have to wait till the second game. ... To anyone who's interested, I have learnt by experiance NOT to write to anyone who has a JUNO address because the ISP puts you on there SPAM lists and for ever after you get SPAM from them (or anyone they can sell it to). It took my a lot of effort to Finally find the Address of the postmaster and send him losts of mail thretening to Mailbomb him "personally" before the SPAM stopped (even now some gets through) So My advice to everyone AVIOD writing to anyone at JUNO or even visiting the JUNO http site ( unless you like SPAM :) ) Yours, John PS. It's possible that I'm VD> wrong but ... Vladimir, I'm not sure how it's set up on your side of the pond, but here in the States there are several UUCP gateways in the Fido nodelist. I suggest that you search there (if you haven't already) and perhaps contact the Node Operator of those sites to see what MIGHT have to be done to 'map' an address from internet format to a 3D Fido node address. Once that is accomplished, and the message is in the Fido realm, it can travel the normal path of routed netmail to it's destination (or the gate can HOLD it for the user to poll). Same goes for sending a message from Fidonet into the internet, you would simply send the netmail message to the "UUCP" gate (sometimes it requires that the inet address "To:" line be the first one in the body of the message) and the gateway software will readdress it for the proper E-Mail destination. It depends on what software the Gate is running. TIP: Use a program like Vern Buergs' LIST.COM to search the nodelist for the string "UUCP" and you might find a node fairly easily.
