Os lived in Hampshire county WV sometime before 1946; he had a child who died and I know where that child's grave is located. I do not know nor does my source whether the child was male or female, how old it was when it died, or even quite when it died (bef 1941). There is no gravestone, only a fieldstone to mark it. When it was time to bless him we had him blessed as Murland David FISH, because we were callng him David by then, but we wanted to name him after Ted's father, after Ted's step-mother pointed out that We were the last of the children having children, and that Ted's dad had never really had a namesake ! Whew. So when we went to have the name changed officially, we went all the way to Murland Walter FISH II, but we still called him David. Okay. But then - when the next boy was born, and we still really like the name David Spencer FISH, we named HIM David Spencer FISH, and called him Spencer. That's when 2 year old "David" said, "Him a David & me a David!" (Bonding, y'know.) Cute. No Problem, we knew who was who. Untilschool started. The 15 year old signs his name MWF. (Grampa is gone now, so he doesn't use II.) But his friends all call him David. People who don't know him try to call him Murland. That's fine with him. It's the 13 year old who, for fun, gives us trouble with sharing the David name. In school he starts out being called David, his first name, by all the teachers who also had his older brother! Sometimes he glares at them, sometimes he makes it fun. He is obviously Not his brother. When Daniel came along & we discovered how Daniel could be read as David easily then Spencer did have a more relaxed attitude - now that there were three of them. This all about the time of ... "This is my brother, Darrel, and this is my other brother Darrel...." Poor Eddy feels left out. Our eldest daughter got married last month. When our next eldest daughter got home from school & went to church, she was really surprised at how many people came up to her & said congratulations on your marriage! Confusion sometimes will find you But yes, with hindsight, - hopefully our boys will not make THAT same naming "mistake". One of my brothers gave all their boys RANDALL as a middle name - their mother's maiden name. And we all love eachother! --- Maximus 2.02 * Origin: CPAFUG WashDC Area (703) 698-7912 (1:109/422) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 133 GENEALOGY Ref: F5G00150 Date: 04/27/98 From: WILEY JARRELL Time: 07:08am \/To: ALL (Read 2 times) Subj: Blassingame I am looking for additional information on the following: Family Edge Plus Extended Family Report ==================================================================== HUSBAND: Benjamin BLASINGAME BORN: MARR: before 1805 DIED: 1816 Savannah, Chatham Co GA FATHER: MOTHER: ==================================================================== WIFE: Sallie BEELAND BORN: DIED: living 1805 Macon, Bibb Co GA FATHER: MOTHER: ==================================================================== 1 | NAME: "Billie" William A.
