BROOKS Looking for a Thomas BROOKS from Windham Co., CT. He was born in mid 1600's Where?? He died in 1704 in Canterbury, CT. His probate lists: Mary Northrup Obediah Johnson, husb. of his dau. Rebecca. Ann/Hannah Follet or Pollet and Patience, still single? I can't find a Thomas BROOKS in Windhom County.....unless Canterbury isn't in Windham County.......if not, I'm looking in the wrong county. Is there anyone out there who is descended from 1. Thomas BROOKS (he may have been born in Woburn, MS 2. Obediah Johnson b. 1664 in Woburn d, 1722 Canterbury. (He married Rebecca in Canterbury) There was a Henry Brooks who lived in Woburn. He didn't list a son, Thomas in his will. So biographers since then have named his children according to his will!!! This happens often, I suppose most of you could name an example of a child not being named in a will. So does that mean that there was no son of that name? Of course not. It COULD mean that, but it could also mean that a missing name in the will had already gotten his/her share and so is not mentioned in the will? Any other reasons?
