It is a very | good program for anyone interested in preserving data. | | My only complaint is that the program does not show spouses on | descendants charts when there are no children entered for the couple. It | also gets children out of order when two spouses are involved and the first | spouse has a higher id number than the second. +-[GL=>MB] Am still running Family Edge Plus with just over 35,000 persons on file. (I believe cousin Wiley Jarrell has much more!). The workaround for catching spouses on descendants charts is to create a NO ISSUE record like you would create a child record: for surname field: NO ISSUE * for given name: * The workaround for two spouses with first spouse having higher ID number than second spouse is to utilize the # option "Do you wish to Renumber Person #lower number to Person #higher number?" Can't beat Family Edge for speed and flexibility. Thanks for the response to my question about the abbreviation "Jno". My big puzzlement was abbreviating a four-letter name (John) to three letters and then reversing two of the three letters. I have both a John and Jonathan that the "Jno" could be - same time-frame, same location. Guess I'd better keep digging! Thanks again!
