I have no idea if any of his family or ancestors moved in that direction and I have no indication that he had anything to do with any church. About the only things that I know about him is that he was orphaned when about 3 years old, that he lived with an eastern N.C. family, that he was a drummer boy for the Union Army during the War between the States, and that he married my GGrandmother. I think that he died while farming in Pamlico County, N.C. in the late 1800's. Thanks again for your response. I'll keep it on file and if something comes up that clicks, I'll be in touch again.
