Almost a designer question EH? I just completed a deal for three planes, two of which are complete, and a six channel Futaba radio. Bucket of fuel and some books, balsa and a movie. All for 16 MB of ram from a 386. I think we are both happy with the trade. I think that the deal sounds good, Amiga made a nice piece of goods. A higher number of diodes = higher braking current BB> dissipation = MORE BRAKES. That's not the way diodes work. First of all, unless they are matched diodes all the current is going to go through only one. By matched I mean you have to go through several hundred to find a couple that are exactly alike. Just having the same part number or even lot number doesn't work. Matched or not the second diode will not increase the braking current unless you have the diode undersized to start with. Second the majority of energy is dissipated in the MOTOR, not the diodes. Motor speed controls is how I have made my living for the last 20 years. I use PC's at work because I have to. They are not my choice at home. Neither is the Amiga or Mac. So insecurity has nothing to do with it. Second this is off topic. Yep being a true hobbiest I will buy almost anything based on two criteria. If theres lots of anything and/or if its real cheap. The stepper motors came with two separate cheap orders and indeed had no accessories. Probably a dead loss with the exception of the lesson learned. I guess I will noww have to either figureout how to build a driver or buy anew. allabes Ian Macaulay --- GoldED 2.40.P0720 * Origin: No time to work, too many hobbies * Carp Ont.
