Hello David, Replying to a message of David Batten to All: DB> Hi everyone; DB> What I need to know is what the sinals that control the servos are. I DB> am assuming that two of the three lines are power and ground and the DB> third line is some kind of control signal. But what kind? Thanks to DB> anyone who can help. The receiver converts the signal to a voltage. 2.5vt is usually the center position. as you move the stick and change the signal, the reciver follows the pulse and shifts the voltage either up or down. Attached to the output shaft in the servo is a pot. It also generates a voltage. Within the servo's electronics is a cercuit that compares the signal voltage with the voltage the pot produces. That circuit controls the transistors that supply motor voltage to drive in the proper direction so that the pot voltage will match the signal voltage. It's been a long time since I worked with those circuits and I hope I explained it clearly enough for you. Capt. Thanks for the info Mark; I'll take a look at the signal on my oscillscope. Do you know of anyone who has a decoder circuit for this signal. Ie. a schematic of a servo's circuit? Thanks ... It's been so long that they don't work that way anymore. %^) The signal changes pulse width, not voltage.
