Power Master fuel eats engines. Hi Mark, This is a remark I have never heard before. As a former R/C dealer, I sold tons of Power Master fuel and never had any complaints, only praises for the stuff. I myself used about 400 gallons of it a year in my personal engines and never had engines disappear before my eyes. What type of engines have you seen eaten or what exactly are you trying to say. Don't just write a one liner, give some hard facts as this was never the experience of me or any of my customers! Chip --- SLMR 2.1a What World are you on? I'd like to visit it sometime! Hiya Derik, This was the response from all of my customers as well. I am anxiously awaiting Mark's reply to my message to see what he was trying to say. I had a lot of problems with most every other fuel I tried as well unless I went to the trouble of adding castrol oil to their mix. I am a firm believer in Power Master fuels and it would take a lot to convince me of anything but good would come to an engine running PM! One of our club members was a backyard dealer. He frequently showed up at the field with PM to sell. Several of us immediatly lost bearings before we used up the single gallon we had bought. There have also been complaints about it from other users of this echo over the years. I won't touch it again. Omega is the only fuel I will use. My cousin just got one, and it is a lot of fun. He has a Kyosho Ocean 500, and I may get the same boat. I want to keep it fairly inexpensive, and would like to have a similar boat in size, etc. to him so that we can race, etc. Does anyone have any advice about boats, transmitters, or other things I could take into consideration before buying? Thanks. Others in my club had similar experiences to the point where the dealer stopped selling it. In the past on this echo there have been other complaints. I've tried Power Master and Byron. I'll stick with Morgan Fuels. Now as I understand it SFA insurance has a $250.00 deductable which the individual is responsible for and the rest is covered by the insurance company SFA works through. AMA on the other hand also has a $250.00 deductable the individual is responsible for but, AMA itself then covers the cost up to $250,000.00 This is sort of like a 1/4 million deductable with the AMA covering most of it right? My question is, what is the individuals guarantee that the AMA will pay this roughly 1/4 million and not leave the individual out in the cold for some reason? What if the claim is more than 1/4 mill and the AMA won't pay their part, does the insurance carrier still cover the amount above 1/4 million then? I am curious since I can see where every modeler is staking their homes and family wellfare on the concept that the AMA will pay. I know they always have to this point but then, the Titanic was unsinkable before it hit the ice. What's the scoop? In english please. --- [TN71] RCNet: The R/C Connection * 703-330-6871 * Manassas, VA --- GEcho 1.00 * Origin: Music City North BBS 617-224-0033.In-tune with ya! Your Homeowner's coverage or other general liability is primary. AMA and SFA only step up to pay when all other insurance has been exhausted.
