I had wriiten to Diane Downs earlier because her husband is originally from Maine. And yes Lloyd, we did get some snow, but not much. Southern Maine is inundated with the white stuff. You say you've been to Camp Roosevelt? When did you last go? This summer we had a troop from St.John, N.B. They were alot of fun. Camping with the Cub Scouts is always a wonderful experience. I have never been involved much, but since my 2 boys are in Scouting, I try to involve myself more. Where in New Brunswick are you? A couple of years ago, our family went on a camping trip to Eastern Canada crossing over in Woodstock through Fredericton, up to Newcastle and to Canada's finest park called Kouchibougouac??? I think that's how it's spelled. What an excellent vacation. We even stopped over in Bouctouche to visit "La Sagouine" do her play. Our town is directly across the St.John River from Edmundston, N.B. What a beautiful place that is. They gone all out to promote their Acadian culture there. Glad to know someone else involved in Scouting who is local. Have a great holiday season!! Y.I.S. Our Moderator of record, Dave Tracewell, has not been able to be found. He founded this conference, but has not been active in the last few years due to work on i-net Scouting resources. I understand that his BBS number has now been disconnected. E-mail I've sent has been bounced back, but I'm not sure I have his address correct. I'd like to open the conference for nominations and volunteers for Moderator until December 21, 1997. Then I'd like to have a two week period for open ballot voting, ending January 4, 1998. Is this okay with everyone? The Moderator should renew the elist entry for the conference every 6 months and post the conference rules monthly. The rules have been to follow the Scout Law. I have been in this conference for about 4 years now and involved with FidoNet off-and-on for since late 1985. I'm currently a Net Coordinator and Assistant Scoutmaster. I used to bring in the echomail to my net before there was a backbone and the *EC structure. One year, I made a bid to host FidoCon in my town. I have served as Den Leader (Wolf, Bear, WEBELOS) and Cubmaster.
