You'll have to keep in mind that the gift shop, submarine and aircraft museum all close at 5 PM. The battleship stays open all night for exploration - just make sure all the boys have flashlights. If you arrive late Saturday, you should plan time Sunday morning for exploration after the museum fully opens. We left home at 11 AM Saturday, ate lunch at a Roadside Park at about 1:30 PM and arrived at about 2:30 PM. We cooked fish and burgers for dinner at the picnic area. Sunday morning, we let the boys ride the Flight Simulator and went to a Shoney's in Spanish Fort for breakfast (only $110 for 20 boys and leaders). We are planning a return trip there or to the U.S.S. Kidd in Baton Rouge in a next month. BP> Care for a Troop 74 Scouting coffee mug, or some BP> popcorn? We were the only group that still had space, so my hone's been ringing off the wall.. ;) I just put together a tiny little page for our Beavers troop, just so that there was a web presence. I figured that, that way, I could put copies of the calendars and everything online for those who weren't technologically impaired. :) I'm hoping to link to other related sites, and also to put some of the clipart online that I've collected from the Scouting sites.
