I do more typing so I prefer to learn the hotkeys for this type of activity. The only time I use a mouse is when playing solitaire, which is the ONLY reason for putting any version of MS-Windows on in the first place. I would have written my own solitaire game but if I put it on my computer I would get less work done than I already do. OS/2 creates a virtual DOS machine that runs actual DOS/Win code (in some cases rewritten to remove bugs). Remember, IBM has the license for this code. They don't have to emulate it. So they can always make something a little easier or better (maybe) then the competitors who don't have access to the windows 95 source code. This is why MS has an Unfair advantage. They can if they want have special bits of code that will say "optimize running" which mean run normally how you should then other apps by other companies would run worse. NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, CNN, PBS, TNN, ESPN and so on are a few of the TV networks. Some have been around since the TV was inflicted on the public. MS, in a smart move, bought into NBC big time with some of the money they've been fleecing from the unsuspecting "computer" public for years. It is a smart move because MS products are the worse products in there field, and hype and market momentum cannot last forever. They mostly wasted their dominant years techniqually, and have just a big wad of money to show for it. It behooves them to move into other fields where technical powress is less important.
