Once the user has finished selecting the files, the program only has to compile the file list, and start dumping files to the drive. Since the drive is the slow part of the whole operation, the file selection is the only major part of the package that can be rated as far as speed goes. I am now running OS2 Warp Connect (that's VERSION 3 for the slow people) to run my BBS. The BBS machine is a 486DX4/100 16M. My 'workstation' is a P100 16M running Win95a. So if you guys don't mind, stop telling me I don't know jack and OS2 CAN do something, expecting me to be using Warp4. If a dealer won't install Windows (or OS/2, or any other OS), I'd take my business elsewhere, or get Win95 with it and immediately resell it to someone who wants it. If one APP crashes, it (6/10 times) takes the entire system with it. Win95 is a bit more stable, but not by much. OS/2 is even more stable, but has that bug.
