Sounds like you are a candidate for ZIPSTREAM. It can "remap" drive letters if that is all you wish. As an added benefit, you get automatic file compression (which is it's primary purpose). You don't *have* to compress files on a zipstream remapped drive letter though. I am well aware of what a "Java Virtual Machine" is, and what a "Just In Time" compiler is, but as far as I know, there is no (none, zero, nada) "JavaCPU" in existance. In fact, the JVM design is such that such an animal cannot exist. The best that can be accomplished (and one of the things SUN is working on) is a CPU that implements the Jave bytecodes natively. Even if such a CPU existed, it would still not qualify as a "JavaCPU" since there is much more to a JVM than just a CPU. All it could accomplish is to skip the step that a JIT compiler performs. The JVM can be implemented on any platform, and if an application is pure Java, it will run on any of these platforms. Platform specific JIT compilers make this more efficient, but this has nothing to do with "extensions" to the language and environment. I suspect your statement that the "concept of Java went bust" is founded on an incomplete (and highly erroneous) understanding of the Java environment (same as the comment about a "JavaCPU"). This may be because you do not have a proper understanding of the topic, or it may be because you are listening to people that don't understand. If the later, it could well explain why you would come up with the above kinds of nonsense. I suggest you do some original reading on the subject. Your "point" is total nonsense.
