If you are still fishing: Cut the toe off your girlfriend's pantyhose (she'll love ya for it, heh, heh) and place marshmallows inside, tie it off, and place on J-hook. Drop in water keeping it just off the bottom. Reel in rainbow. Works for me but considering I am now divorced (hmmmm ... I wonder why?) I have lost my pantyhose supplier. --- Msged 4.10 * Origin: Wandering Point - Lackey of ZOLTAN -> Ladysmith, BC (1:351/255.1) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 128 FISHING Ref: F2H00000 Date: 02/11/98 From: RALF KUEHNEL Time: 02:56pm \/To: DAVE HAZELMAN (Read 1 times) Subj: Re: German fish Am 08 Feb 98 00:33:10 schrieb Dave Hazelman an Ralf Kuehnel zum Thema DH> Do carp not eat when the water is cold? In my experience its hard to catch Carps at a water temperature under 8 degrees. First from a water temperature of 10 degrees or higher a succesfull fishing starts and then you can catch also the greater part. Here in germany it will be in March that the water has the right temperature. In winter are however places near power plants are very good! It pleases me, that you want to fish also once with boilies. It is only important that you fish with a hair-rig! If you want I send you a page per netmail where you can see a complete hair-rig!!?? On the Ranch that he is the Manager of they have a very nice sized Pond. It is spring fed and since we have been having more than normal rainfall for this time of year, the springs are all running and the Pond is running over it's spillway. The water covers a size of about 500 feet by 300 feet. It is as clear as a bell. I found an old spinning rod in the barn that had a spinning rod on it. The only bait I could find was an orange Plastic worm with 3 treble hooks. Started casting into the lake from atop the earthen dam and immediately starting catching hand sized Perch. Several Goggle Eyes and a few Sunperch and a few White Bass. They were all fairly small, except for the Bream. They were nice frying size. Didn't keep any of them but had fun catching them anyway. I will have to take my Fishing Tackle up there next time and see how the Flyrod does. Should be fun. ___ Blue Wave/DOS v2.30 [NR] --- Alexi/Mail 2.02b (#51) * Origin: The Port Brew | San Antonio, Tx | 337-4338 (1:387/310) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 128 FISHING Ref: F2K00001 Date: 02/16/98 From: TIM MORGAN Time: 12:08pm \/To: DAVE HAZELMAN (Read 1 times) Subj: striped bass TM> Striped Bass can be caught with minnows, shad, perch, or artificia TM> They are normally deep open water fish, so catching them from a p TM> is difficult, although I have seen it happen.
