Don't I know it! It seems SK takes longer and longer between "Dark Tower" books. It's worrisome. I read the uncut version of "The Stand" some time ago and it was worth every minute spent. Maybe I'll go back and read the few older books I haven't read yet after I finish "Wizard and Glass". I'm fairly up to date on my Dean Koontz reading as well. :-) Cheers, -Jack ogre@nashville.com --- Msged/386 4.30 beta 2 * Origin: UltraTech - Nashville, TN ftpMS Hub (615)356-0453 {V.34} 1:116/30) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 282 STEPHEN KING Ref: F5G00042 Date: 04/29/98 From: JACK SMITH Time: 01:47pm \/To: FAITH BAYLIFF (Read 0 times) Subj: King Hi Faith, On Apr 28, 1998 at 13:34, Faith Bayliff wrote to Daniel Lind: FB> Oh the TALISMAN was so good!!!! As for me, I'm sitting here in Germany, reading with great interest what Americans think about King's works. By the way, since you prefer non-supernatural stories, you'll probably like "Apt Pupil". It's from the collection "Different Seasons" which also contains "The Body" ("Stand by me"). If you've already read it, please tell me what you think about it.
