Ticks don't usually like cats, but having a huge number of ticks looking for food may mean that some ticks may pose a problem for cats. Also, we'll have a bumper crop of pollens and molds this summer. The vet told me that cats have histamine receptors in their skin, so if a cat has an allergeric response to pollen and/or mold, she'll scratch her skin more than usual. Hope this helps! --- Maximus/2 3.01 * Origin: Nerve Center - Where the spine is misaligned! (I have only had SC> her home for an hour and a half). She is also very agressive. Any SC> advice would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps one part of the problem is that the cat is so young. I think that 4 weeks is too early for it to leave it's mother, but perhaps it could not be arranged otherwise? So, if the kitten is afraid and uncertain missing it's mother, you have to be it instead. Try to arrange a war and soft place at place where the kitten can hide and take refugee. Perhaps you even could place a soft teddybear there, but be careful so that not lose part of it will be swallowed of your kitten. Have patience. Give your kitten enough time to trust you. When Kurre and Murre first come home to my apartment (and the where about 6 MONTHs old), the spent their first 5 hours under the bathtub. I let them bee there and at the end they feel confident to come around to be served their meal and to be petted. Good luck! She usually sleeps on my bed with me, but way down near the foot because of traumatic flying through the air incidents when she was a kitten. A couple of nights ago, I was in bed and rolled over, and smacked Squeaker right on the head with my hand. I was 90% asleep, and didn't even see her until after she took off. How do you apologize to a cat?
