I usually tell people to get a piece of soft wood, like from the beach or somewhere, because this is what they would use in nature. Mine have a couple of nice logs outside, & this is one of the first things they use when they go out. Cats seem to prefer the free stuff to the expensive toy things. Boxes are splendid, logs of wood are great, the plastic string-ties from Avon boxes delight them- far more than stuff you buy at pet supply places. You might try getting a nice heavy log sort of thing, sprinkle it with a bit of catnip, & I'm sure there'll be great interest, especially if it's heavy enough for the cat to stand on & do it's clawing without it moving around. --- RoseReader 2.52 P008704 * Origin: MoonDog BBS Brooklyn,NY 718 692-2498 (1:278/230) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 277 CATS Ref: F3G00006 Date: 03/11/98 From: EILEEN THOMAS Time: 09:34am \/To: WALTER LUFFMAN (Read 0 times) Subj: Manicures WL> -> Filing her claws?
