I'm soooooo sorry. Tradition says they won't spay until she comes out of heat. But sources tell me they won't come out of heat until they've bred. And once she starts, she'll come into heat at the mere whiff of a tom. Talk to your vet, s/he may go ahead and handle her now. Tell me again, how long has Stormdoor been living with failing kidneys? Becky's siamese has a similar problem, but so far, she's getting along with potassium gluconate tablets for about a year now. Overgrooming. Sarah went through a phase of that. Terry said she was doing it because she was stressed for an unknown reason, beyond the diabetis. She removed her hair from her second set of nipples to (but excluding) her private parts, and when that area was hair-free, she started on the backs of her hind legs. Then one day she stopped and the hair grew back. :l BOY! Was I glad. The only thing you left out was the desperate feeling you get when your cat is in insulin shock, and you're pumping in the Karo.
