Thanks for your reply. My Sysop said the moderator could do much more than he as notify the moderator was about all he could do, which he did. He also said that he had tried the filter thing and it caused him a lot of trouble and he had to delete a lot of mail for people and he didn't want to take a risk on that again. Believe me, I didn't read the mess but I did catch a few words with my eye (quite enough) it was 1000 lines long, so you can imagine. I scrolled through it to see the origin which is just over the MS state line from our BBS which originates in Memphis, TN. Someone has suggested it may be a local problem. It didn't seem to get widespread coverage, thank goodness. So I guess the delete key is the valuable tool. -> Should your sysop be interested in having a copy of this software -> have them contact me at one of the addresses listed below. Thanks for the information. I will pass it along to him. -> NOW, ON TOPIC: I loved your story about the shortcut taking moocher. For someone who doesn' have cats at present, this shows a very deep caring for them. I have enough cats for you and me, too -- eleven in all and a fine crew I might add. Most of them were born to wild mothers living in my woods who came under my trailer to have their kittens. They would care for them for 2-3 weeks and then abandon them, so my grandchildren and I would get under and find the screaming little things, bring them in the house, crank up the bottles etc. We got quite good at it and I can tell you that bottle fed babies make the sweetest pets around. The last couple of go-arounds I had help from my Yorkie who did the bath rooming and cleaning of the kittens. Hence I have one cat who thinks he is a dog. The last wild mother has not come back for over a year now, so I think I am through with new born kittens. I had this last one neutered this week as he was about to drive me crazy.. he is the one who thinks he is a dog and he doesn't fit in with the other cats. He seems to be calmer since I brought him home. I am going to let him get good and well and gradually mix him in with the others. I have had good success with some of the other fighters doing this. I was trying to sleep the other night and he got out of my bedroom where I had him separated from the rest. The door was left ajar and he got out. I heard this screaming and I jumped up, grabbed my robe and ran. I threw the robe over him as that immediately simmers him down. I scooped him up and deposited him back in my bedroom. I had just dropped off to sleep again (I was so tired) when the screaming began again. I had made sure the door was shut securely. And it was. What I had done was to scoop up the wrong black cat. I have 2 that look just alike and I got the peaceful one. Had to make another mad dash with the robe and exchange cats. I learned the hard way not to break this up without the robe over his eyes. I was bitten pretty severely. He is so much bigger, younger and stronger than my other cats, I think he could kill one of them. He is being very good today, however. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/Wildcat5! v2.0 * Origin: LindenRoom BBS (901) 458-9001 (1:123/215)
