No names have been released pending notifation of the next of kin. Please keep the victums and their families in your thoughts. They paid the price so we may be free. MG> What are you doing shooting cats? If I saw you I'd have you MG> hooked up with a felony charge ASAP. You don't like cats, MG> spray 'em with a hose, but don't shoot 'em. Hey, there are I don't know where you are from but I don't think many states allow for felony charges for ANY type of animal abuse. And as for shooting cats, most places I have lived any animal that is causing harm to pets or live stock can be shot. Examples: Stray cat comes into your yard and attacks your cat. Or, a dog is chasing my horses. For certain animals (deer, geese, etc) you have to contact the game warden before hand but other wise... Oh yeah, they can also be destroyed if they are causing "significant damage to crops". But this requires a lot of red tape. I have had to shoot everything from 'possums to feral cats to stray dogs. If your pet cat, dog or lizard is on my property trying to harm one of my animals and I see it, it stands a very good chance of being shot. I have tried firing 'warning' shots at 'pets' (i.e. cats or dogs that look like they have been taken care of) but they just keep coming back. I once lost several half grown rabbits and some ducklings to one stray cat that I had earlier tried to scare off. I have also had 'barn' cats killed by strays, big toms and dogs. Luckily it has been a couple of years since I have had to shoot anything other than your run on the mill varmints but I keep the old guns loaded and ready.
