It works pretty good, however, some times the net is too slow for Binkley, and the transfer times out. joe --- timEd/2 1.10 * Origin: After Hours BBS (717)865-2636 USR DS 16.8 (1:270/315) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 273 OS/2 INTERNET Ref: ECV00000 Date: 08/25/97 From: CHARLES BOWMAN Time: 07:52am \/To: ALL (Read 2 times) Subj: VW32S.SYS & FP#3 Greetings & Salutations All! Hi Joe, JL> ISDN isn't even available through JL> our phone company ( well it wasn't the last time I JL> checked), I have a friend in the poconos who just got one installed through the Bell co. in his area.. it wouldn't surprise me if it moves along your way soon. Might be expensive, though.. here, I lucked out on a special offer that Bell South was having - free installation, and fixed rates.. later, they went to metered usage, but I was "grandfathered" . It might be a good idea to check once in a while just in case your phone company does something like this. JL> so I must use a dial up connection. It fixes many problems with OS/2 and brings the code level up to the "blue" spline level. It also includes the PPP.exe program for the Internet Access Kit. My IP address is only open after I have connected to my ISP -- which is not usually for very long at a time, and sporatically at that. My bossnode has a BBS on the internet -- but does not have his frontend mailer connected to an IP address.
