There's also MR/2 Ice (Internet Cruiser Edition), which I use myself. Both are excellent. A dummy number might work(?) Telix will require the 'mode' command line or it will not recognise the port. I'm sure you're familiar with the sdial salt. I've set up a separate telix.cfg, and fone.fon to list the IP addresses instead of the landline numbers. This is much more convenient than trying to put everything into one phone directory mixing IP addresses and regular phone numbers. I just use an icon in my internet folder to start everything. Killem is just a convenience to get rid of vmodem when I'm done, omit if you don't use killem.exe. If this doesn't do it, e-mail me at rnewsom@gnt.com and I'll zip up my internet.cfg and internet.fon. Why use Telix? Hi Edmund, yes, I believe that you can use it to access remote mail over PPP connects, although I must admit that I've never used it. I do recall reading that you must use it on a HPFS partition, since it's a direct port and uses many long filenames. It's 950k, and availble as http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/old/os2/unix/elm23-2.zip I have to say that you're one of the few I've met who prefers Elm over Pine. I don't care one way or the other, I use Pine simply because I have a three boot system, Windows 95, OS/2, and Linux, and I can use the Pine ports for each OS, and share mail folders and address books among the three. I have a bunch of email clients registered, and I used to use: AK-Mail for Windows 95, MR/2 ice for OS/2, and Pine for Linux. Trouble was, I would read mail in one OS, not reply, then it might be a week before I got back to it. Using three ports of Pine sharing only one set of data files is the way to go, hehe.. DB> If you can afford a few bucks, I would recommend trying out MR/2 DB> ice, an excellent email client. EW> Is PMMail also shareware? PMMail and MR/2 ice are both shareware. (I have both registered, hehe...) MR/2 ice is a bit less expensive at 25 bucks (I think), and between the two, I prefer MR/2 ice. All features being about equal, MR/2 ice has outstanding support from the author, and it looks as though the newsreader portion of it is about done, too, a feature that PMMail does not have. PMMail is probably the 'prettier' of the two, but MR/2 ice is by no means ugly, and in fact I've found it's unique interface to be really easy to use.
