It sounds like mGate can't find your inbound mail directory. mGate does not use sendmail.cf except for sending mail via "pipe" method. Check your sendmail.uml file to confirm the local mail agent (umail or deliver) is delivering to a directory you can find, then manually look in there to see if you are getting xxxx.000 files delivered. Next, check your mailgate.cfg file to make sure that: 1) your inbound mail directory is correct 2) the Mailstyle (Umail, etc) is correct. If you are using Ultimail as your local delivery agent, mGate will look for Ultimail's pointer files. If your Mailstyle is set to 'other', mGate will read the raw RFC822 files in the directory defined by ServerInBox. Last, if you're using Maximus, make sure mGate knows where to find your user files. I received a message from my upper level Automation folks that states "Microsoft Explorer is not authorized to be utilized on any computer within this command". I asked them why and they stated that the Army banned it after the security hole(s) were found by and confirmed by outside agencies. The Army usually bans software after the DOD has determined that it can cause serious harm to Defense Department equipment. A great deal was said about the various security "holes" at both the CERT and CNN News sites. James ...
