Anybody have any success with others? *adh* Something that I saw in a posting on the internet was that you have to have the complete path name in your icon for Netscape/2. Instead of it just saying NETSCAPE.EXE for the file name, it has to say C:\NETSCAPE\NETSCAPE.EXE. The other thing is to look at your WINPLUG.REG file, as it sometimes is corrupted during install. It should have a line for each of the plugins installed, each line beginning with: 1 X:\NETSCAPE\Plugins\NPxxxx.dll Hope this helps. gomizzou@iolaks.com (Jim Bradley -- Iola, KS USA) ___ X KWQ/2 1.2i X gomizzou@iolaks.com (Jim Bradley -- Iola, KS USA) --- Maximus/2 2.02 * Origin: OS/2 Shareware BBS, telnet://bbs.os2bbs.com (1:109/347) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 273 OS/2 INTERNET Ref: E2V00006 Date: 02/25/97 From: BRYAN HANDFIELD Time: 08:10pm \/To: JARKKO LAIHO (Read 0 times) Subj: Next Netscape/2 Hello Jarkko! Hi Elliott: Have you sent off an email to the authors of pppdial? I managed to get everything working using pppdial and an autostart script. I had to play around abit and not sure if I have the script around anymore. Can't find it anyway. I dropped that method as I couldn't stand the fact that unless all the auto opened apps were closed the modem refused to hang up. I'm a happy MR/2I user but I find it pretty slow, so I never close it. It doesn't seem to get confused just sitting there and goes right to work the next time I log on. Have you tried Soup and Yarn to fetch and read your mail? Pretty simple to set up, heh even I managed to get them going. You could use PoPW to monitor your pop server and then fetch with Soup or VSOUP. Just a thought .... DG> I'm looking for a OS/2 Telnet program with Download and DG> Upload option.. You can use ZOC. Feature pack program, and if you are a member of any user group, they ask for $35 for a limited time. Or you can use VMODEM included in the SIO package. After configuring and starting VMODEM, you can start any communication program such as Telix or Procomm, and use their down/upload capabilities. VModem simulate a virtual modem, and allows any comm program to use the Telnet protocol.
