Yah, I posted a couple messages up from another BBS and it seems a little faster than this one--but I don't See my messages up on here From there, but then again it's probably a function of my offline reader which I can use from This BBS but not on the other one I tried to post from... I know, it's confusing as hell, so just forget it! AB> TREK10.ZIP??? Can you give me a brief description? Not too much AB>so the mods don't get angry at us. I'm gonna get screwed by the mods, I know it! OK, brief is brief... It's a Star Trek timeline which covers just about everything (right through the novels, TAS, roleplaying games etc.) and this is the 10th edition (I've been releasing them on an annual basis, free to the fans)... This one's just short of 1,000 pages... To attempt to flip this back on topic here, it's very much the Trek equivalent of Lance Parkin's excellent "Doctor Who: A History of the Universe" timeline book (in fact, I'd say this book's one of the best Doctor Who publications I've purchased within the past decade, right alongside the "Cybermen" book by David Banks and the "Dis/continuity Guide")... Except I didn't have the option of scribbling my dating notes in the margins, and mine's a bit more in-depth in many respects (since many specific dates are offered up and there are no stardates offered up in DW) but the tradeoff is that while I document each and every entry's sources, I don't necessarily explain my reasoning for each and every one... Many of my "basic principles" of dating are the same as Lance Parkins' (in fact I was thinking of almost parphrasing his page 3, I didn't but I did mention his timeline in passing in mine!)... You can pick it up with a long distance call to (201) 501-8431 since I don't have internet access... --- OLXWin 1.00a Federation-Star League-Ascension-Adamant-Nichter --- FE v1.46 i486 * Origin: - Mystical Aura -/- [201.894.8546] -/- Tenafly, NJ - (1:2604/302) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 270 DR WHO/BRIT SCIF Ref: EBZ00006Date: 07/29/97 From: JAMES DIXON Time: 06:17pm \/To: ARTIMUS BROWN (Read 1 times) Subj: Marco Polo Ep.1-A AB> MARCO POLO AB> Episode 1 AB> The Roof of the World AB> written by John Lucarotti AB> Original Transmission Date: 22nd February, 1964 AB> Total Running Time: 23:20 AB> _________________________________________________________________ AB>1. Anyway, this other voting poll this time is at the BBC's radiotimes website at http://www.radiotimes.beeb.com in which if we should bring back Doctor Who nd more people are voting yes to bring back Doctor Who than voting no to bring back Doctor Who. But the amount of people who voted yes to bring back Doctor Who s not enough and so we need thousands of people to vote for yes on the voting poll to convince the BBC to bring back Doctor Who.Please tell everyone as soon as possible to vote. Please also tell everyone that nobody was on a mailing list nor were they subscribed to anything when you or anyone else got this message. --- Spot 1.3 Unregistered * Origin: EMail me at D.Gray@bleach.demon.co.uk (2:256/607.16) --------------- FIDO MESSAGE AREA==> TOPIC: 270 DR WHO/BRIT SCIF Ref: EC100002Date: 07/28/97 From: JOE MASON Time: 08:14pm \/To: ARTIMUS BROWN (Read 1 times) Subj: Marco Polo Ep.1-A "Marco Polo Ep.1-A", declared Artimus Brown from the Vogon ship: AB>DOCTOR: Yes, yes, yes, but it's going to take such a long time...and AB>time we don't have!
