This is a script writers wet dream, kinda makes ya wonder why they never did it. Would have been a better idea than than the two Doctors. Much as I love Pat and Jamie, they did look a bit past it in that ep. Thing is though the character is so powerful, that three of them, working in unison would be unstoppable, unless you make that his weakness. The fact that he's always worked alone probably doesn't trust anyone, and knows himself so well, and his ability to betray, would mean he was always watching his back, and looking for a way to put a knife into the others. You could even have a later Master trying o steal regenerations off himself!! As long as this didn't effect events leading up to his existence, confusing ha?! JM> Who should play the Master? Young, Brilliant, and willing to look at problems in unconventional ways. Like you go on to say, his contact here with his later selves could explain his character greater, but I would have him being truly neutral, until being shown a glimpse of his future. The paradox would be too delicious to ignore. - maybe he could almost persuade us that this was JM> the Master before he turned evil. (Then, of course, he'd turn on the JM> Doctor in the end.) I mean, not suave and sinister like the Master we JM> know, but completely charming until he dropped his mask. IMHO, JM> Timothy Dalton would be a great actor for this Master.
