AVP>JD>Take my word for it, it's nowhere here in the States... Heck, I have a AVP>JD>hard time finding the New Adventures here... Alright... 1. I've never heard of "media play" whatever that is (if it's one of those yuppie Internet thingies, I still don't know of it since I don't have access to the Internet nor care to have access)... 2. 1-800-TREKKER... Want me to type up a paragraph about this ripoff company? They promise the best prices--and aught to be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES for their lies! In their last catalog I saw a Trek CD going for close to $100!! And most other "collectors items" are skyhigh priced as well... But let's talk about the Doctor Who New Adventure books... Their cover prices are $6... Add sales tax and it comes to nearly $6.50... Add SHIPPING AND HANDLING which is, and I Will quote from my last 1-800-TREKKER catalog: $19.99 or under $5.00... $20.00 - $34.99 $6.00... $35.00 - $49.99 $7.00... $50.00 - $99.99 $8.00... So for a lousy $6 paperback I'd be paying over $11!! (TWICE the above if I lived in Canada!!)... The Doctor Who and Trek novels I've read are NOT worth $6... But anyway, from what I've seen from their company, their products are USED as in wrinkled covers, crumbled pages... As in they get these old books from some 99 cent overstock warehouse... DK>> Do you know if there is a book detailing everything in the Who universe? DK> The Terrestrial Index - A list of other Who stuff (comics, etc..) DK> Not as useful, but interesting. DK> The Universal Databank - An encyclopedia, very thick, full of DK> interesting facts. Yah, these are OK but they're riddled with glitches (and even the Errata section in the latter book doesn't cover all of them!)... DK>and, my most recent Who reference book is The DIScontinuity Guide, which DK>is a good complement to The Programme Guide, and a whole lot funnier. :) The humor I'm not crazy over (ANY person trying to construct a serious reference SHOULDN'T make a joke of it, in my opinion)... But overall it did a fine job of covering continuity and discontinuity throughout the series (sure, there are areas where they Could have easily expanded it a bit, but overall well done and much better researched than the Lofficier books)... My latest book is "A History of the Universe" by Lance Parkin... A timeline covering all the episodes and novels... Nicely done and well-researched, though I don't agree with it 100% adn would have executed it somewhat differently... Still, it's the best chronology I've seen (much better than Lofficier's) and considering that he included the novels, is somewhat similar to my own Fandom Star Trek Chronology file... DK>There are also numerous hardbacks, none of which I have found as handy DK>as the paperbacks. You'll also see handbooks for the various Doctors. DK>They have some interesting trivia in them, but I don't like them all DK>that much myself. :) The hardbacks I found mostly disappointing... Mostly pictures! The best in this category recently made it to softcover, David Banks' Cybermen book...
